CHOOSE ANOTHER ANIMAL
Dear Santa, they say everyone has a place in life—one to which they return and where they feel safe. I had it too. It was there that I learned to fall asleep without fear. Until one day, everything disappeared. My human left, and instead of finding new arms, I found myself in the yard. I didn't know where to go or why I was left alone. Today I'm in the Rescue Center. My heart is sick, but it beats calmer because someone is speaking to me with a warm voice again. Santa, I ask you for a soft, fleece blanket to hide from the cold, for dry adult food to give me strength, and immune supplements to keep illnesses at bay. This will be my first Christmas where I'm no longer waiting for someone who won't come back... but maybe someone new will appear who will love me forever. With hope, Trajan.
