My name is Remek. I'm 14 years old and... I'm still waiting. I've been waiting so long that some dogs have already found homes, and I'm still standing by the bars- hopefully. Maybe today? Maybe someone will notice me? I know I'm no longer a youngster. Gray paws, a calmer gaze, and a heart that's been through a lot. But I still believe that somewhere there's someone who will love me just the way I am. The holidays are approaching- a time of warmth, closeness, and hope. And although I'd love to find a home, today I'm asking for something else: food, treats, maybe some canned meat... for me and other seniors who, like me, simply want to feel remembered. And maybe, along with the smell of a Christmas tree and the sound of carols, my biggest dream will come true...
