My name is Laki, and I came to my aunt as a tiny puppy- straight from the shelter, where fear was my daily companion. I didn't know warmth, touch, or safety. Today, I'm almost 2 years old, and although I'm still learning to trust, thanks to love and patience, I'm slowly emerging from the shadows. This holiday season can be another step towards a better life for me.
